Well, firstly, I’d like to apologise for the lack of graphics. It may come to you as a great surprise that I have a life outside of the internet. I understand that this fact may send shockwaves through the virtual realm I love to indulge in, but it is indeed the honest truth.
The point of this post was to give a synopsis of the two most realistic and interesting dreams I’ve had as a consequence of watching Bleach right before going to sleep. It seems that watching Bleach and having a turned up dream are positively correlated. So, for those interested here’s what happened:
In my first dream our planet was being invaded! Giant lights signaled the undoubted arrival of extra terrestrials. Though there were no miniature green men speaking in tongues, the skyline over Canary Wharf was flooded with giant rotating discs. Naturally, I was the commander of an elite squad of agents being deployed to counter the enemy. (It was super cool, my uniform was black on black and my AK47 expanded the entire length of my body — incase you’re curious, I stand at 5ft) Obviously our first instincts told us to open fire but our bullets were sucked in to transparent wormholes that seemingly emerged out of nowhere. When the spaceships fired back at us, a single attack was enough to wipe out a radius of several kilometers. I had to jump from the skyscraper in order to avoid the attack! Trying not to plummet to my undignified death I punched a hole though a glass pane as I was falling and pulled myself in to an abandoned building. I swear I must have been a time traveler of some sort because I ended up on a stakeout, in an attempt to apprehend a serial killer. I hid behind a shrub and jumped out unexpectedly, I guess the dream me was hoping the killer would tremble in fear at the mere sight of my size 6 frame, but he didn’t. He just ran for the hills leaving me no option but to shoot him down! My bullet pierced through his neck and I restrained my victim, not with a conventional handcuff..but with my pink hairband.
THE END.
My next dream was slightly lengthy and had inspirations taken from High School of the Dead. It was based around a zombie apocalypse and my friend Michael played a prominent role too. From what I can remember we were leaving the cinema when all hell broke loose outside. Zombies crawling everywhere! Apparently Michael and I were well prepared because we ran to the top of the building and hang glided our way over the undead, picking their way through the fresh corpses of civilians. Michael and I headed for an airport with an army of zombies escorting us. We had to fight our way to a Virgin Airlines 747 plane but for some reason I couldn’t bring myself to hurt the zombies. Each time I went in for a mutilating attack I would recognise the face of a loved one in the zombie and hesitate, when I finally closed my eyes to deliver a blow the impact wasn’t hard enough and Michael would always have to protect me. (Apparently this is a sign that I’m holding back my true potential. I have no idea if that’s true but I guess we’ll wait and see) But after much zombie wrestling we finally made it inside the plane, just in case you didn’t know the me of my dreams is actually a fully licensed pilot! I can’t quite understand why I was co-pilot and let Michael take the wheel though – remind me to question myself about this in my next dream. I don’t quite remember what happened after that but when I woke up my cat had decided to take over my bed, leaving me in a confused state on the floor.
A lot of scientists say that dreams are messages from your subconscious and if that’s the case I actually have no idea as to what mine is trying to tell me. Do you believe dreams have meanings? Or does watching Bleach make for really interesting dreams?
